The idea
The Chittagong Hill Tracts are unlike anywhere else in Bangladesh: forested ridges, lake-side towns and Indigenous communities including the Chakma, Marma, Tripura and Mro. Travel here is rewarding and requires planning, as some areas need permits for foreign visitors.
Travel to Rangamati and settle in by the lake.
Explore the lake, markets and surrounding hills by boat and road.
Continue to Bandarban for viewpoints, waterfalls and hill roads.
Return to Chattogram or Dhaka for your onward journey.
Inspiration itinerary, not a confirmed departure. Permits may be required for foreign visitors in parts of the Chittagong Hill Tracts, and rules change. Confirm current requirements well before you travel. Final itinerary, availability and pricing are agreed individually.
